Questions
FAQ
Is France Stickers the official French government service?
No. France Stickers is an independent assistance service. The official (free) site is certificat-air.gouv.fr. We charge £7 to handle the application on your behalf in English.
How is my registration document handled?
Your document is transmitted over an encrypted connection, used solely to complete your application on the French government site, and permanently deleted within 24 hours. We never share it with any third parties.
Where is the sticker sent?
The French government posts the physical sticker directly to the address on your vehicle registration document. This cannot be changed — it is a security requirement of the French system. You will also receive a digital facsimile by email which is valid as a temporary substitute.
How long does delivery take?
Typically 10–14 working days from the UK. Allow up to 4–6 weeks during peak summer months (July–August) when demand is highest.
My vehicle is registered outside the UK — can I still use this?
Currently our automated lookup works for UK-registered vehicles (DVLA). If your vehicle is registered elsewhere in Europe, select "enter details manually" in the wizard and follow the prompts.
Can I get a refund?
If we are unable to submit your application for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Once submitted to the French government, the official sticker fee (~£4.30) is non-refundable per their policy. Our £2.70 service fee is non-refundable after submission.
